Pekpaev Pavel Vitalievich

Pekpaev Pavel Vitalievich, born June 11, 1976, resident of the city of Yoshkar-Ola, Mari El Republic, blogger, previously convicted under Part 1 of Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, on August 4, 2023, sentenced by the Yoshkar-Ola City Court under paragraph "d" of Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public dissemination, under the guise of reliable messages, of knowingly false information containing data on the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in order to protect the interests of the Russian Federation and its citizens based on political hatred") to 5 years and 6 months of imprisonment.

On October 9, 2023, the appellate court upheld the sentence.
